On install I had network speed issues and despite following all the required tests no one at BigPipe could explain why my connection was not up to speed. In frustration I decided to try to resolve it myself, took apart the wiring and found that Chorus had put a screw through the cable - once I changed the wire all was ok until my plan was "upgraded" .
I'm now on 1000mb download and my service is so inconsistent that since the first week of gigabit service its never gone beyo
nd 500mb. In fact the speed is ranging from 15mb - 150mb(if I'm really lucky) the majority of the time it sits around 20mb download with upload bouncing between 200-500mb.
Dealing with their customer service is a nightmare as its all by email and its always the same answer - test via the ONT etc etc. Given the fact my speed was working properly after I repaired the wiring, my internal network has remained constant and I have had reason to contact them multiple times since with the same problem, I would have hoped that being on their top plan somebody in customer service might have thought "Hey whats going on here" and picked up the phone or sent Chorus around to check.
But no - instead I keep getting the same generic email and no real follow up. ...read more
