Digital technology can make a significant, positive impact on our nation's social and economic wellbeing – enabling stronger, safer, more connected communities (even in the most remote rural areas), opening more opportunities for our children (regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds), and improving health outcomes for New Zealanders of all ages and walks of life.

It can enable Kiwi companies to compete - and win - on the world stage and become smarter, more agile businesses by harnessing all the benefits of new technologies such as Cloud services and the Internet of Things.

Spark's success is dependent on our customers in one key market: New Zealand. That's why we're passionate about using technology to be truly useful to our customers, helping make our country better and enriching the lives of all New Zealanders. We want to be the most valued brand in the home, and the most trusted partner for business.

Useless: in Europe the 'service' offering would contravene the consumer protection act
Pros
You have to be kidding me!
Cons
Utterly useless. In the year we have had the service the phone only worked in the last 5 weeks and the, so called, broadband is so degraded and contested as to be virtually unusable. I have spent literally hours and hours explaining to non-technical and technical people the nature of the problem to no avail and staggering frustration. The selling of the 'service' to us was predicated on a tissue of falsehoods. The line is highly over contested and seen as too costly for Spark to remediate. Prove me incorrect if you can. ...read more

I have been with Spark for several years now - Home line, Broadband and cellular. I don't consider them the cheapest but overall they give a great service and I am happy with them.
They seem to be the follower rather than the leader in pricing - awaiting to see if they are losing customers then move in offering existing customers with better deals. e.g rollover data and talk minutes on Cellular and increased speed on adsl.
If you are thinking of moving contact them and see if you can squeeze out a better deal. ...read more
Pros
For Support - use online chat. You can type in the problem and all the details - that way support team don't have to throw a lot of questions or guess what you are trying to say.
I have heard negative comments about their telephone support but I have always found it good.
I was helping a friend who is with another "cheaper" Cellular provider. Telephone support was hopeless. Some Support workers who have English as a second language do not understand Kiwis idioms and "Kiwi speak"
I have never found that problem with Spark.

Cons
Broadband slows down sometimes to a complete stop from 3 minutes to the hour too about 7 minutes past the hour. Why is this? Is everyone logging on at the same time?

Also - are they throttling down the speed on certain I.P. addresses? Other ISP may be doing the same. ...read more

Possibly the worst provider in terms of reliability. The connection cuts of for long periods on a day to day basis. Wouldnt have internet connection when needed the most. Have to toggle between 4g and this like right now. Yes you guys do have courtesy 4g, but doesnt help me using a diff mobile provider. Frustrated!!
Pros
The price (which i got switching from another provider)- usually not competitive
Cons
Disrubted connection, slow!

Only found out I was in huge arrears with Spark when I called in a fault. My weekly AP had been in place since commemcing act however no one bothred to phone me to let me know
Pros
Cons
Need to make person to person contact about billing. Do not leave customers unknowingly in arrears and reap more money via penalty fees!!!
